...The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kansas... Ninnescah River near Peck affecting Sedgwick and Sumner Counties. Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ninnescah River near Peck. * WHEN...From this morning to late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water flows over 103rd Street about 2 miles west of Clearwater. Flooding is about 2 feet deep in that area. South of Clearwater the river expands to about 1/2 mile on the south bank. Expect many county roads near the river to be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 18.5 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
Instruction:
