Whitewater River at Augusta affecting Butler and Cowley Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Whitewater River at Augusta. * WHEN...From this evening to late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Flooding of low lying areas can be expected, especially rural roads west of town approximately 1 mile. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 17.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 22.0 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
