...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River near Chanute affecting Allen and Neosho Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Chanute. * WHEN...From this morning to late Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 28.5 feet, Flood waters may flow across old Highway 169 north of Chanute. Agricultural flooding will also occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 24.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.2 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
