Arkansas River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, The Water Plant takes precautions on water well pump houses west of the Arkansas River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.8 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.0 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
