...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Walnut River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. Walnut River at Winfield affecting Butler and Cowley Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Walnut River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Two C street Canal gates are closed at the Highway 77 at Walnut River Levee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 21.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.9 feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
