...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Walnut River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Walnut River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Considerable flooding of farmland can be expected. There is considerable flooding upstream along the west bank of the Walnut River. On the east bank, the ground slopes upward so that only about a 300 foot wide strip of land would be affected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 18.5 feet and falling. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 8.5 feet Friday evening. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
