At 456 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of Elk City, or 12 miles northeast of Sedan, moving east to southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Independence, Neodesha, Dearing, Longton, Elk City, Bolton, Sycamore, Hale, Buxton, Elk City Lake, Independence Airport, and Elk City State Park.
