Description:
At 1046 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles east of Selden to 5 miles north of Quinter to
near Pendennis, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...At 10:30 PM CT 1 mile northwest of Rexford a 61 MPH gust
was recorded.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Quinter around 1050 PM CDT.
Morland around 1105 PM CDT.
Hill City around 1125 PM CDT.
Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Penokee, Saint Peter, Tasco, Seguin, and Studley.
This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 92 and
112.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This thunderstorm is producing accumulating hail, which will make
driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be
aware of rapidly changing road conditions.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
