* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, in east central Kentucky, Estill. In southeast Kentucky, Lee. * WHEN...Until 215 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1232 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional light rainfall is expected over the area. This additional rain will allow minor flooding to continue. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Beattyville, Fincastle, Mount Olive, Fixer, Zoe, Greeley, Maloney, Proctor, Whynot, Zachariah, Leeco, Standing Rock, Airedale, White Ash, Belle Point, Corgleton, St. Helens, Old Landing, Enoch and See.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
