* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of central and south central Kentucky, including the following counties, in central Kentucky, Casey, Green, Hart, Lincoln, Marion and Taylor. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Metcalfe, Monroe and Russell. * WHEN...Until midnight CDT /100 AM EDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 858 PM CDT /958 PM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Liberty, Glasgow, Campbellsville, Columbia, Tompkinsville, Greensburg, Albany, Jamestown, Munfordville and Edmonton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
