Description:
At 333 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Oggs Station, or 7 miles southeast of Mount Sterling. This
thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Sterling, Jeffersonville, Camargo, Peeled Oak, Ewington, Clay
Lick, Means, Howards Mill, Walkers Crossing, Cedar Groves, Upper
Spencer, Coons Station, Bean, Lower Spencer, Gatewoods Station, Oggs
Station, Lucky Stop, Crooks, and Hope.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 64 in eastern Kentucky near mile marker 112.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
