The National Weather Service in Jackson has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southwestern Estill County in east central Kentucky...
* Until 415 PM EDT.
* At 232 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional light rainfall is ongoing across the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Irvine, Ravenna, Witt, Station Camp, Wisemantown, Jinks, South
Irvine, Rice Station, West Irvine, Kings Station, Weedon,
Blackburn, Wagersville, North Irvine, Sandhill, Calloway Crossing,
Winston, Locust Branch, Drip Rock and Alcorn.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
