* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern McCreary County in south central Kentucky...
Southwestern Wayne County in south central Kentucky...
* Until 700 AM EDT.
* At 443 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen in portions of the warned area since 3 AM.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Co-Operative, Great Meadows Campsites, Griffin, Parmleysville,
Blue Heron, Burfield, Mount Pisgah, Stearns, Pine Knot, Strunk,
Slickford, Hidalgo, Powersburg, Sunnybrook and Hollyhill.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
