At 1052 AM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen across the area over the past 6 hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area between 11 AM and 12 PM. Flash flooding is already occurring and will continue through early this afternoon. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...There is a public report of several feet of water on KY-1009 in Powersburg. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Co-Operative, Great Meadows Campsites, Griffin, Parmleysville, Blue Heron, Burfield, Mount Pisgah, Stearns, Pine Knot, Strunk, Slickford, Hidalgo, Powersburg, Sunnybrook and Hollyhill.
