Southern Metcalfe County in south central Kentucky... * Until 115 PM CDT. * At 1056 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 11 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring. This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Metcalfe, Cumberland, and Clinton Counties. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
