FFWPAH The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Livingston County in western Kentucky... * Until 700 AM CDT. * At 108 AM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain and flash flooding across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported one water rescue along Highway 133 near Lola and that numerous homes were isolated by high water in the Lola and Joy communities. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Salem, Burna, Joy and Smithland.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
