Description:
At 1227 AM EDT/1127 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 10
miles south of Brandenburg, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Irvington, Ekron, Guston, Hillgrove, High Plains, Bewleyville, Basin
Spring, Corners, Rosetta, and Haysville.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM EDT/100 AM CDT/ for
central Kentucky.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
