Description:
At 817 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Calvert City to 6 miles south of Benton to 8
miles northwest of Murray, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Murray, Mayfield, Benton, Golden Pond Visitors Center, Hillman Ferry
Campground, Woodlands Nature Station, Birmingham Ferry Recreation
Area, Turkey Bay, Land Between The Lakes Area, Hardin, Kirksey,
Brewers, and Aurora.
This includes Interstate 69 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 29 and
49.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
