Description:
At 546 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bayou Sorrel, or 11 miles southwest of Plaquemine, moving east at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Gonzales, Donaldsonville, Plaquemine, St. Gabriel, White Castle,
Sorrento, French Settlement, Port Vincent, Geismar, Prairieville,
Bayou Sorrel, Carville, and Belle Rose.
This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 168 and
188.
