Amite River At Denham Springs affecting Livingston and East Baton Rouge Parishes. .The river forecast includes 48 hours of forecasted rainfall. These river forecasts could change based on how Tropical Storm Arthur or its remnants tracks across Louisiana and Mississippi late tonight and Thursday. Interests along the rivers should monitor the forecast closely and be prepared for significant flooding. For the Amite And Comite Rivers...including Denham Springs...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Amite River at Denham Springs. * WHEN...Until Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Flooding will begin in the westernmost parts of Denham Springs. River Road at the foot of Benton Lane will flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 28.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 24.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to 30.5 feet early Friday morning. It will then fall Friday evening. It will rise to 30.2 feet Saturday evening.
