increased in duration for the following rivers in Louisiana...
Tchefuncte River Near Folsom affecting St. Tammany Parish.
Tchefuncte River Above U.S. Highway 190 Near Covington affecting
St. Tammany Parish.
For the Tchefuncte River...including Folsom, U.S. Highway 190 Near
Covington...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Tchefuncte River above U.S. Highway 190 Near Covington.
* WHEN...Until late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Flowers Estates will be inundated. A few
homes not elevated will flood. Homes along Old Landing and
Riverbend Lane will flood. Homes near Highway 1077 and in the
Tantella Ranch Road area will flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 26.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:30 AM CDT Thursday was 26.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.5 feet
early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Sunday evening.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 27.6
feet on 12/29/2018.
