Southern Avoyelles Parish in central Louisiana... * Until noon CDT. * At 1054 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Plaucheville, or near Moreauville, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Bunkie, Simmesport, Moreauville, Cottonport, Mansura, Hessmer, Evergreen, Plaucheville, Goudeau, Dupont, and Hamburg.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into a small central room in a sturdy structure.
