Description:
At 824 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Ida to near Oil City, or along a line from 19 miles southeast of
Atlanta to 23 miles northeast of Marshall, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Vivian, Plain Dealing, Oil City, Hosston, Rodessa, Belcher, Ida,
Gilliam, Gray, Cavett and Bolinger.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
