North central Penobscot County in east central Maine... * Until 230 PM EDT. * At 143 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles north of Portage Lake to near Tamway, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Caribou, Portage, Mapleton, Washburn, Ashland, Woodland, Portage Lake, Masardis, Oxbow, Russel Crossing, Churchill Dam, Big Machias Lake, Moosehorn Crossing, Nashville Plantation, Telos Lake, Castle Hill, Perham, Wade, Garfield, and Nashville.
