* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values between 100 and 108 possible. * WHERE...Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Cheboygan, Gladwin, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Presque Isle Counties. * WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tuesday will likely feature the most extreme conditions for most, with heat indices exceeding 105 degrees. Although mid-week temperatures are dependent on thunderstorm development, prolonged high humidity and limited overnight cooling will lead to compounding heat stress throughout the week.
Instruction: 
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
