* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northern Michigan, including the following counties, Cheboygan and Emmet. * WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 645 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing flooding in the warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Area rivers and streams will be running very high this evening. Washouts have been reported in the Good Hart and northern Burt Lake areas. - Flooding impacts will continue, but little additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Harbor Springs, Pellston, Alanson, Cross Village, Pleasant View, Brutus, Stutsmanville, Topinabee, Good Hart, Mullet Lake and Riggsville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
