At 1236 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Pickerel Lake to near Garland to near Roscommon, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Law enforcement and measured. At 1224 PM, Gaylord Regional Airport measured a 59 mph wind gust. Power outages and wind damage have also been reported across northern Michigan. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. These severe storms will be near... Lewiston, Luzerne, Hetherton, Eastern Corwith Township, South Branch Township, Garland, and Red Oak around 1240 PM EDT. Atlanta, Canada Creek Ranch, and Briley Township around 1245 PM EDT.
Instruction: 
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If on the water, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
