Oscoda County in northern Michigan... * Until 130 PM EDT. * At 1255 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Canada Creek Ranch to 6 miles east of Comins to near Mack Lake, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Law enforcement and measured. At 1224 PM, Gaylord Regional Airport measured a 59 mph wind gust. Power outages and wind damage have also been reported across northern Michigan. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Severe thunderstorms will be near... McKinley, Hillman, Fletcher Pond, Canada Creek Ranch, Lockwood Lake, Curran, Tomahawk Creek Flooding, and Curtisville around 100 PM EDT. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now!
