* At 1255 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Canada Creek Ranch to 6 miles east of Comins to
near Mack Lake, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement and measured. At 1224 PM, Gaylord
Regional Airport measured a 59 mph wind gust. Power
outages and wind damage have also been reported across
northern Michigan.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

110 PM EDT.
Long Rapids around 115 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Milen
Township, Mitchell Township, and Clear Lake State Park.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
If on the water, get away from the water and move indoors or inside
a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the
parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough
to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
