Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, St. Louis County.
* WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 126 PM CDT Monday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall
rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour or more. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding.
- While storms are moving quickly, intense rainfall rates may
cause brief minor flooding, especially in the cities and
towns across the Iron Range.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hibbing, Virginia, Chisholm, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, Hoyt
Lakes, Gilbert, Aurora, Babbitt, Buhl, Nashwauk, Biwabik,
Cherry, Embarrass, Cook, McCarthy Beach State Park, Perch
Lake, Franklin, Angora and Kinney.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you
can do so safely. Flooding can be reported to the National Weather
