...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR VERY HOT TEMPERATURES COMBINING WITH GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER PARTS OF NORTHEAST MINNESOTA... The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Red Flag Warning covering Sunday afternoon and evening for very hot temperatures combining with gusty southwest winds and low relative humidity all in an area with ongoing minimal rainfall over the last few weeks. This Red Flag Warning is in effect noon to 9 PM CDT Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch for Monday afternoon and evening remains in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...In Minnesota, Koochiching, North St. Louis, Northern Cook, Northern Lake, North Itasca and Central St. Louis. * WINDS...Southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 30 percent Sunday and as low as 23 percent Monday. * IMPACTS...The rapid spread of any fires may occur due to the forecast weather conditions and dry fuels per guidance from local land management agencies.
