Description:
At 1008 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of
Lake Osakis, or 13 miles northeast of Alexandria, moving northeast at
50 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Villard, Alexandria, Nelson, West Union, Lake Osakis, Belle River,
Little Sauk, Rose City, Clotho, Round Prairie, Long Prairie
Airport, Long Prairie, Eagle Bend, Clarissa, Browerville and
Bertha.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm has produced dangerous hail
and is capable of producing damaging winds.
