Description:
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 99
expected.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Southern Cook and Southern Lake Counties. In
Wisconsin, Ashland, Iron, and Sawyer Counties. This includes the
Tribal Lands of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Grand
Portage Reservation, the Bad River Reservation and the
northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band. Other locations
including Madeline Island.
* WHEN...From 11 AM Sunday to 1 AM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
