Description:
* WHAT...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, dense smoke will reduce
visibility to less than one nautical mile. For the Small Craft
Advisory, southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with few Gale Force gusts
up to 35 kt possible and waves 2 to 5 ft occurring.
* WHERE...Green Bay North of line from Cedar River MI to Rock
Island Passage.
* WHEN...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, until 8 AM EDT this
morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 2 AM EDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.
Instruction:
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
