Description:
* WHAT...Abnormally low water levels expected.
* WHERE...The open waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
Vermilion OH.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Below normal water levels will result in hazardous
navigating conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southwest winds 25 to 30 knots may cause
water levels in the western basin of Lake Erie to drop near or
below the critical mark for safe navigation which is 13 inches
above low water datum. The current water level at Toledo is 33
inches above low water datum.
Instruction:
Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due
to below normal water levels.
