....CORRECTION...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FAILURE OF ANCHOR LAKE DAM ON THE EAST HOBOLOCHITTO CREEK REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR SOUTH CENTRAL PEARL RIVER COUNTY... At 325 PM CDT, emergency management reported the failure of Anchor Lake Dam causing flash flooding downstream on the East Hobolochitto Creek. FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Anchor Lake Dam. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding from the failure of Anchor Lake Dam. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! IMMEDIATE EVACUATION for areas downstream from the Anchor Lake Dam along the East Hobolochitto Creek. The nearest downstream Homes around Lakeside Drive This includes the following streams and drainages... Mill Creek, East Hobolochitto Creek and Dutch Branch. Flooding is occurring along the East Hobolochitto Creek.
