Mississippi...
East Hobolochitto Creek Near Caesar affecting Pearl River County.
.Flood of record being is predicted for the East Hobolochitto Creek
exceeding the previous record flood of 21.53 feet from Hurricane
Isaac in 2012. This forecast is based on current rainfall and future
48 hours of rainfall. Be prepared for any evcautaion orders from
Emergancy Management.
For the West Hobolochitto Creek...including McNeil...Major flooding
is forecast.
For the East Hobolochitto Creek...including Caesar...Major flooding
is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...West Hobolochitto Creek near McNeil.
* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Widespread flooding will occur in
Westchester Subdivision near Picayune. Many homes, business, and
other buildings will be flooded. Evacuations will be necessary.
Sections of MS Highway 43 will be impacted.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 19.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.0 feet
tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 24.5
feet on 08/31/2012.
