...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Mississippi...
Biloxi River Near Lyman affecting Harrison County.
For the Biloxi River...including Wortham, Lyman...Major flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Biloxi River near Lyman.
* WHEN...Until Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Flood of Record occurred on May 10, 1995.
Major flooding will occur along the river. Several bridges and
roads may be washed out. Evacuation of Biloxi River Estates,
Retreat Village, Oakridge Manor, Rolling Acres, and Riverland
Village is strongly recommended. Sections of MS Highway 605 will be
impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 21.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 12:45 PM CDT Friday was 21.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
Monday afternoon and continue falling to 6.7 feet Wednesday
morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.0
feet on 05/10/1995.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
