Mississippi...
Strong River At D'lo affecting Simpson County.
Pearl River Near Rockport affecting Copiah and Simpson Counties.
Pearl River Near Monticello affecting Lawrence County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Pearl River near Rockport.
* WHEN...From Sunday morning to late Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Widespread flooding of low pastureland and
bottomland is occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 22.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 26.0 feet Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
