Description:
At 1202 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 10 miles north of Latimer to near Pearlington, moving
east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Gulfport, Biloxi, Long Beach, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Pass
Christian, St. Martin, Diamondhead, D'iberville, Latimer, Kiln,
Lyman, Shoreline Park, Saucier, Vancleave, and Gulfport Airport.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 7 and 50.
Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 2 and 4.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for southern
Mississippi.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
