* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Mississippi County in southeastern Missouri... Northeastern New Madrid County in southeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 1215 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1014 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sikeston, East Prairie, Big Oak Tree State Park, Towosahgy State Historic Site, Morehouse, Matthews, Canalou, Farrenburg and Dorena. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
