At 952 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Northwestern Springfield, Bolivar, Buffalo, Greenfield, Willard, Ash Grove, Fair Grove, Walnut Grove, Pleasant Hope, Morrisville, Everton, Brookline, Dadeville, Halfway, Halltown, South Greenfield, Aldrich, Sacville, Cave Springs, Brighton, Eudora, Ebenezer, Glidewell, Bois D'arc, Foose, Olive, March, Pennsboro and Stockton Lake. This includes the following low water crossings... Opposum Creek at Bannon Road, Sac River at County Road 1247, Turkey Creek at Highway W, Slagle Creek at 86 Road, Sinking Creek at County Road 181, Clear Creek at Farm Road 87 and Asher Creek at 560 Road.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
