Description: 
At 132 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain associated with thunderstorms had ended. However, a swath of 2 to 3 inches occurred across northern portions of Butler County, so water may be slow to recede in some areas. Flash flooding remains a threat. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Poplar Bluff, Hendrickson and Rombauer. This includes the following streams and drainages... Blue Spring Slough, West Prong Indian Creek, Indian Creek, Asher Creek, Goose Creek, Black Creek, Lake Slough, Kenner Spring Branch, Saint Francis River, Black River and Cane Creek.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
