At 327 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. In Chaffee they recorded 1.75" within 25 minutes and significant flash flooding has been reported in town. Flash flooding is ongoing. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Scott City, Chaffee, Oran, Benton, Morley, Kelso, Cape Girardeau Airport, Commerce and Lambert.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
