increased in duration for the following rivers in Missouri...
Black River near Annapolis.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Black River near Annapolis.
* WHEN...From early this morning to Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Flooding begins along County Road 146
Champion Springs Road... the road leading to the gage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 10.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 3:15 AM CDT Friday was 10.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 18.1 feet this afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage again early tomorrow afternoon
to 4.0 feet early Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this
