Description:
At 340 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6
miles east of Steelville to 15 miles southwest of Cherryville, or
along a line from 6 miles east of Steelville to 18 miles southwest of
Steelville, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Steelville, Cook Station, Cherryville, Davisville and Dillard.
This includes the following State Parks...
Onondaga Cave State Park and Dillard Mill Historic Site.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
