Description:
At 546 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles south of Geraldine to 9 miles
southeast of Denton to near Moore. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lewistown, Denton, Hobson, Winifred, Moore, Forestgrove, Moccasin,
Glengarry, Danvers, Coffee Creek, Suffolk, Square Butte, Giltedge,
Heath, Hilger, and Christina.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
