Description: 
At 354 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 18 miles south of Bozeman, moving northeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Frequent cloud to ground lightning and heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Dangerous lightning and heavy rain. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Gallatin County.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Persons in campgrounds and those recreating outside should consider seeking sturdy shelter until this storm passes.
