Description:
At 612 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 23 miles northwest
of Baker, moving north at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...ASOS reported. At 551PM, the Baker Airport weather station
reported at 70 mph wind gust.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Baker, Plevna, Ismay, Westmore and Ollie.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm has produced widespread
damaging winds and is capable of producing large hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
