At 602 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Bayard, or 17 miles east of Scottsbluff, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Alliance, Bayard, Minatare, McGrew, Lake Minatare State Recreation Area, Lake Alice Number 2, Angora, Kilpatrick Lake, Chimney Rock National Historic Site, Berea, Lake Alice, Alliance Municipal Airport, Bridgeport State Recreation Area, Northport, Wild Horse Butte, Moomaw Corner, South Bayard Junction, and The Intersection Of Highway 385 And L62.
