* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeastern Dundy County in southwestern Nebraska... Northwestern Hitchcock County in southwestern Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 1100 AM MDT /noon CDT/. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 537 AM MDT /637 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Be aware of some flooding along the Frenchman Creek between Palisade and Culbertson. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Palisade.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
